Our Story
Smaart Eats LLP is the result of nature-loving enthusiasts looking to make a big splash in the efforts to save our oceans and planet. Plastic straws are polluting our oceans and consequently unsettling the entire ecosystem, affecting not only marine life but impacting human health as well.
A single straw may not be much, but when 3 billion plastic straws are dumped into the ocean, it makes up to 4% of the world’s plastic waste – it all adds up!
Smaart Eats’s objective is to make a change and collectively work towards a sustainable climate and future for generations to come. We believe in starting small, one Smaart Straw at a time, because it all adds up!
Embracing and encouraging eco-friendly alternatives, Smaart Eats LLP seeks to show that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – in this case, a single rice straw. Adapting to natural and ecological options without affecting the drinking experience is a convenient and Smaart way to make a difference.
Our Product - Smaart Rice Straws
Our company was formed in 2020 to join the efforts of restoring our environment and being a solution for an increasingly environmentally conscious world. Following much research and development, we created the Smaart Rice Straw, our flagship product in 2021 – the first of many sustainable and eco-friendly products which will bear the unique brand of Smaarts.
Today, we are proud to say that we are the only prominent manufacturers of rice straws in India. Currently, we operate the first-ever state-of-the-art manufacturing plant for straws, certified by FSSAI, ISO 22000: 2018, HACCP, Start-UP India, MSME, and more.
Our factory is located in close proximity to Mumbai, and with our current capacity, we can manufacture 5 million straws per month. All the raw materials are ethically sourced, and we promote women’s empowerment.
